FairMed is clinically led by members of the Panamanian Society of Sports Medicine (SPMD). Every decision framework, substance interpretation and AUT/TUE pathway passes through physician review before reaching the platform.
Active physicians with real clinical practice in sports medicine, intensive care, cardiology training, pulmonology and university teaching — not marketing figures.

The Panamanian Society of Sports Medicine (medsportpanama.com) acts as the independent clinical review body for FairMed's anti-doping decision support. SPMD's physicians evaluate the substance database, AUT/TUE pathways and regulatory interpretations before they reach the platform — functioning as peer review, not as operator or customer.
Disclosure: Dr. Mauricio Beitia Kraemer is concurrently founder of FairMed and President of SPMD. He discloses both roles openly and abstains from SPMD's internal votes that concern FairMed, to preserve peer-review integrity.
FairMed's review pipeline is straightforward, auditable and limited in scope — we don't replace authorities, we support decisions.
Clinical decision frameworks, substance classifications and documentation checklists are reviewed by SPMD physicians before publication.
Every rule, threshold and route-dependent decision cites the specific WADA standard (Code, ISTUE, ISL, ISTI, ISRM) or peer-reviewed reference.
FairMed monitors the official WADA document pages weekly and notifies clinical leadership when standards are updated or new versions are published.
FairMed does not grant AUT/TUE, does not issue sanctions, does not override official decisions. Final clinical and anti-doping judgment remains with the treating physician and the competent authority.
FairMed is an independent project founded and operated by Dr. Mauricio Beitia Kraemer, MD, MSc, with clinical review in scientific partnership with the Sociedad Panameña de Medicina del Deporte (SPMD) — medsportpanama.com. The platform serves athletes, physicians, clinics, federations, Olympic committees and telemedicine programs across Latin America and beyond — with content in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Institutional contracts and invoicing are coordinated directly during the sales conversation. Clinical review is independent from commercial decisions.
